Or take a short trip to the Miravalles volcano, whether by rental car or via a tour. Go to Rincon de la Viejo national park for a day of rafting, tubing, horseback riding, mud baths, and canopy tour. Or drive the Pan American highway toward Bagaces to experience a 50' high waterfall surrounded by ferns, and swim in the natural pool below..
