Positive: VERY clean apartment and that's something I always care about. We've seen only one cockroach on the terrace, but I guess it's something typical for Madeira. No bugs in the apartment. Spacious, with everything we needed including detergents for washing machine, some bug sprays etc. Iron, microwave and other useful things were there. Lovely view from the terrace, great location.
Negative: Two things were horrible: first of all, the temperature of the water under the shower. It was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Really hard to set up proper temperature, it was a matter of millimeter on the handle. Second thing: neighbours upstairs. Everytime they started their day between 6 and 8 am, we heard their every single step as a loud bang. I don't know why, but the ceiling/flooring must have been so paper thin, that we even heard them opening a drawer. Impossible to sleep in the morning with such noises.
