Summary: We had a very pleasant stay during the off-season. Our rooms overlooked the river and were quiet. The room was clean, relatively recently refurbed and very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. On check-in, we asked if we could get a knife (so we could have a wine and cheese snack in our rooms) and the receptionist got us one. The continental breakfast included the usual favourites. They also make their own blueberry and strawberry jam for your toast. Our hostess took good care of us and topped up water and coffee and cleared dishes as we had a long and relaxed meal and visit with the friends we were travelling with.
