Many friendly local shack owners flock to the town on weekends and holidays all year round to enjoy the relaxed vibe.
next door to the property is a recreational area with a tennis court, bocce pad, basketball half-court and a playground for the little ones It is home to a spacious oval with cricket nets and even a nine-hole chip and putt golf course (the greens are maintained by the local wildlife, so Barnbougle it is not, but it is good fun).
pipers river is a short 3-minute stroll down the road The river beach is perfect for pitching your towel before taking a dip in the sheltered waters and for building sandcastles and beachcombing. There is a jetty and boat ramp suitable for launching small boats and other watercraft. It is a great spot for fishing and a fantastic little Bream hole exists if you know who to ask.
