Positive: The location was central to our needs. Not for everybody but my wife and I walked into the nearby town Thornhill (1.5 miles ) everyday for a evening meal, milk etc. Lovely location with a few coffee shops etc. dog owners have a splendid walk fifty yards from the cottage along the river Nith. We walked it daily (no dog) about an hour to circuit.
Negative: Traffic was heard, especially early morning, but never intrusive. The small rear garden was sun trap. We used the cottage as a base to visit the the areas points of interest. Parking was fine for two vehicles, we had a motorcycle so ample room. We don't do photo's so we cant oblige on that request.
Summary: Suited our needs. with no need to bring any items as the kitchen was so well stocked,
