Positive: This is a lovely, clean, quiet, comfortable apartment in the beach/vacation community of Zahora, near Los Caños de Meca and very close to the Faro de Trafalgar lighthouse. We were there during the off-season, which meant that many of the restaurants and chiringuitos (beach bars) were closed. Our hostess was very friendly and helpful. Although we were not able to meet her in person, she gave detailed instructions for arrival and we were able to enter with a code. A private parking place (inside a fenced area) is available. The photos and descriptions of the property were accurate, and we had everything we needed including a fully furnished kitchen.
Negative: There are two things to be aware of that weren't advertised before we booked this apartment: 1. The water is from a well and is not potable. You can use it for cooking and bathing, but even if the water is technically safe to drink it's very hard and full of minerals. A starter supply of 1.5 liters of drinking water was provided, but you'll need more. 2. Guests are asked not to put anything at all -- not even toilet paper -- into the toilet. We complied but would have liked to know about this in advance.
