Nestled in the hollow of the green valley of the Drée (& its fish-filled river), this former mining village has a rich heritage (former Gothic church, funeral chapel of the Mac-Mahons, monastery & priory of the 13th century, several chapels, mining remains... ) and a bucolic landscaped setting of gentle mountains, alternating hilly bocage & vast forest massif (including the communal forest of 300 ha certified PEFC). Spacious cottage of great comfort. Warm country character with contemporary accents married to a careful heritage restoration (monumental stone fireplace mantle, French ceilings & original beams).
