Relax and unwind in our cozy, tranquil getaway. While all sorts of adventure awaits in the State Park, comfort greets you indoors. Our space is a second story apartment over a full garage(which is inaccessible to guests,used for storage). Entry to the upper level is from outside at the deck stairway.
our deck is perfect for a breezy breakfast, peaceful star gazing at night or anything in between It gives you a nice elevated view of your surroundings and our garden. We are a corner lot on a relatively quiet intersection. But from the deck you may not even notice those passersby. You might also experience the local wildlife there from a slight distance, deer, rabbits, Osprey, bats, variety of song birds and an occasional Bald Eagle sighting.
the state park's harry meshel picnic area playground and paved walking paths are within 4-5 minutes walk You can get your feet wet there but it is not the swimming beach. There's pavilions, a gazebo, and the marina is accessed from there. great for walking with the lake is view.
our firepit is not fancy ,but will allow you to roast hotdogs and marshmallows for s'mores, we provide firewood, fire starters and lawn chairs for around the pit ,feel free to light the garden tiki torches to make the whole experience a glowing enchanting evening
we can sleep 6 comfortably We have 1queen bed, 2 Twins(day and trundle beds) and in the living room a pull out chair to a twin and a comfy couch.
we provide linens,towels and paper products and 1/2 dozen fresh brown eggs per stay
we do not allow pets or smoking of any kind indoors There are so many folks with allergies to pet dander and fur as well as smoke.
we have keyless entry and you'll e given your code the the morning of your arrival
the state park boasts,swimming at craigs beach 7 minute drive, boating, boat ramp 3 minute drive,(the lake however is let down between oct -april ) fishing all year, archery range, golf, disc golf, mountain bike trails and a story book trail for the littles! all with in minutes walk or drive
after a hot day in the sun come in to the comfort of air conditioning or in the fall through spring we have a soothing faux fireplace (tv stand )which can be used for ambiance or heat however you like it
our garden is for you to enjoy as well In season there are cherry tomatoes, zucchini, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries enough for a spoonful with your breakfast, and chives,as well as a fresh herb pot just outside the door. Also several varieties of flowers.
and for those rainy days or evenings , we have a roku tv and wifi internet for your streaming pleasure
