Positive: The cottage was ideal, very clean, comfortable and easy to find everything. Loved having the option of shower/bath and two toilets upstairs. The toilet downstairs helped a lot and the kitchen was perfect - the bonus was having a washing machine. Location was ideal - we loved the little walk around the caravan park to the village and were able to take in the local sites, Bamburgh Castle, Bamburgh Village (walled garden is lovely), the Grace Darling museum, local pubs, and a boat trip to the Farne Islands. We were also able to go to Edinburgh, Dunbar, Lindisfarne, Alnmouth, Alnwick and Kielder. A lovely position, being a short drive to the shops and village. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back.

Negative: Not a disaster, but we couldn't find any pegs for the washing line! Also, there were no cleaning cloths, so we couldn't do much cleaning even though we didn't need to, but sometimes you just want to give things a clean around! Stairs felt a bit steep, but nothing my elderly mum with low mobility couldn't handle :-)

Summary: We loved the area and the lovely cottage made it a perfect week
