Positive: It is situated close to the Okaukeujo gate. Dinner is good local fare, although overpriced by South African standards. The gardens are pretty.
Negative: It is overpriced for what you get. Although I sent an email to the lodge (2 days later I have still not had a response) about my booking which was a Comfort Triple room, we got a regular room, sans the coffee/tea machine as advertised and sofa bed. Don't expect any shower gel - bring your own. Rusks are not replenished, and coffee is of the instant sort (definitely NOT what I expect of a lodge priced as a good 4-star South African hotel. You have to fetch tea bags yourself at the reception - not provided in the room. The dinner was nice but not worth the R500 pp price tag. We opted not to eat dinner the second night because of the cost. The rug on the floor is rather tired. The curtains are flimsy and let in too much light at night (irritating if you want darkness when you sleep). Although we saw the owner a few times, there was never any interaction with guests. All I can recommend of the place is the location.
