within the resort we have two small stores for basic items , one next to malinches and one by the jw try the Gelato at the JW. They carry wine beer etc within 5 mins.
villa real is a small village 10 minutes from our home where we have a couple of supermarkets and a very inexpensive farmers market for produce , fruit and vegetables We definitely recommend buying your vegetables and fruit there and supporting the local community. Another good store is Simply Fresh on the way to Tamarindo.
