Positive: What a fabulous stay! At the very start when the owners met us with keys, we knew we'd be happy there. They provided thoughtful food items: coffee, tea, hot chocolate mix, milks, juices, butter, jam, and some cookie treats, which they replenished during our week-long stay when needed. The owners are a mother & son who live on the same floor. We only saw them at check-in, but they were very available throughout as needed, and daily offered "housekeeping" to us, which we took them up on a few times. The apartment is on the first floor (so one floor up from ground floor). It doesn't look like much on the outside but the apartment itself is great. The bldg has an elevator but we took the 1 flight of stairs most of the time. It is very clean and spacious with a separate bedroom, large table in dining/living area, and well-equipped kitchen. The windows face a roofed area of the bldg, so it is very quiet and no traffic or people going by. The windows all open for fresh air, and they all have rolling shutters that you can put down at night. Bed and pillows are very comfy. Small dressers on both sides of the bed have plenty of top space to put bedside items. The bathroom is typical small but plenty of over-the-sink space to store toiletries. Very large & cozy bath towels and even washcloths provided! There's an apartment sized clothes washer which we used twice and a clothesline that stretches open over the tub. There were sufficient outlets for charging everything. The couch was very comfortable and firm. Location is great... lots of boulangeries within a few blocks. Close-by metros. A variety of restaurants. A more "working class" type setting than the Marais, for example, but very functional, safe, and easy to get around.
Negative: There was nothing we didn't like. We would definitely stay here again next time we were in Paris. It is especially great if you need to stay for more than a few days. A very comfortable, clean space without any clutter.
Summary: Spacious, clean apartment, good location, with super hosts!
