Summary: The General Denver is a charming historic hotel in the lovely town of Wilmington. There is a restaurant and bar on the first floor and our dinner there was delicious. There is some parking in the back or across the street when the church there is not meeting. Because it is a historic building, it is not fully accessible. The elevator requires an operator. There was a step to enter the bathroom in our room. On the third floor, there is a room at the far end with coffee, snacks and ice. (It would be helpful to have this information in the room.) There was a fan in our room which was useful in the afternoon when the AC was not enough to cool the room. Again, because it is a historic hotel, it doesn't have modern luxuries (like a coffee pot, fridge or microwave), but it has a lot of character and charm.
