Our place offers a private beach house experience, perfect for those looking for a tropical~relaxing vacation property that’s “close, but not too close” to resorts and hotel amenities, minus the crowds that usually follow a popular touristic destination.
we have a very unique space right on the caribbean sea: our property comprises of 2 identical beachfront studios (north and south cabanas) and a common covered deck with lagoon and beach views, in the plantation-maya beach area

*price is per cabana and includes the use of car parking, laundry room, common-covered deck area and beach (max of 2 people per cabana-adults-only)

about the north and south cabanas: each cabana is approx 600 Sq. Feet, close to 20 feet tall wood beam ceilings. Both floor and ceilings are made of local woods, beautifully hand-crafted in a traditional Belizean style. The accordion/folding 4 panel-glass doors completely opens each studio to the beach, providing indoor-outdoor living Caribbean experience.
each cabana is fitted with an a/c unit, cooling the cabanas within 10 minutes (even though there are windows providing very efficient cross-ventilation)
each cabana has its own full kitchen, and were designed to overlook the beautiful caribbean ocean & palm tress on the beach, while preparing a meal or coffee on the large quartz counter top They are fitted with stainless steel appliances, microwave, toaster, French press, blender and are completely stocked with pans/utensils/plates, etc, allowing you to prepare your own meals, (if you choose to skip going to the different restaurants down the street).
luxurious king beds & bedding:
each studio cabana has been set up with a king size bed, *high-thread count sheets*~ super comfortable (pillow top mattresses) for incredible comfort and a great night sleep!
about the south cabana:
the south cabana can easily and comfortably accommodate either a couple with a king size bed or 2 single friends/family members (who wish to have their own comfortable bed)
the king size bed on the south cabana can be turned into 2 separate extra large twin beds If your staying in the South cabana, just let us know your preferred sleeping arrangements and we can set up the bed as a king or 2 separate beds. The beds overlook the ocean, so you can wake up to the sun rising over the beach of course!...
each cabana has its own full bathroom with a marble counter top, a local custom made vanity and the bathroom shower floor tile is made from mexican river stones
plenty of outdoor space~600 sq feet~ covered deck
the outdoor space was designed to maximize the beach as well as lagoon views (…and is pretty amazing!) The common shared covered wood deck is close to 600 sq ft of covered outdoor living space~ and it’s 70 feet across between each cabana, linking and providing privacy between both cabanas. there is a large outdoor table overlooking the ocean (on one side and the lagoon on the other)-so we don t ever have to miss a sunset or a sunrise!

~our unique location~ why we love the plantation-maya beach area:
2 years after looking, we accidentally found the maya beach-plantation area and quickly realized that it offered us the perfect combination of “close... but not too close....” to resorts and fantastic restaurants (minus the crowds and noise that come with being in a touristic destination.....)
we are located in a residential, quiet area just north of maya beach, (5 min drive to resorts and great restaurants) Meaning, we get best of both worlds, 5-10 min drive to a resort or restaurant, (taxis are also an option, if your not planning on doing lots of exploring ) with easy access to touristic tours and fishing trips.

We are ON THE beach and have the BEST sunset views over the lagoon!!! (With the Mayan mountains in the background... Breathtaking views!...)

***30 min drive to jungles with waterfalls- jaguar preserve-cockscomb basin wildlife sanctuary (we have yet to see a jaguar... after all they are nocturnal creatures) but not to worry, you will be surrounded by beautiful jungle trails leading to waterfalls and incredible top of the rain forest" views!!
***15 hour drive to AMAZING Mayan ruins -You don t want to miss this.... cahal pech and xunantunich- make a day of it!
car rental:
renting a car is highly recommended (if your looking to explore the area) We love visiting (not so sleepy) Placencia and after fun activities in the village, we love returning to our QUIET Plantation-Maya Beach area. We are about 20 minutes drive from the Placencia Airport and about 3 hour drive from Belize City Airport (Lots of car and golf cart rental options)- If your renting a golf cart-think easy slow "vacation driving" conditions.
*pls note-all of belize beaches and the caribbean sea is considered public beach or queens land Weather and ocean conditions are unpredictable.
