Summary: Hotel Bel Horizon Pros - Comfortable king bed - Nice en-suite - Free parking on street - Rooms have central heating and ensuite has a heated towel rail. - Pleasant room with a small balcony Cons - Website states front desk open from 8am till 9pm - incorrect!! - Doors locked at 3.15pm on arrival Had to phone them to open up - No restaurant (as advertised by Hotels.com) - There was a bar. But permanently closed - No lift - and we were on the 2nd floor - Hotels.com reviews are misleading. To say this place is exceptional is rubbish. It’s a third rate hotel and the photos of the bar and restaurant are totally misleading. - Rooms are very basic with no kettle, tea or coffee making facilities to make your stay more comfortable. - Rooms are not air conditioned which may be uncomfortable in summer - No bar fridge which is always handy - Nothing to soften the blow. - Traffic noise is intrusive even with shutter down If you’re just looking for a B&B to spend the night this place may suit as the bed was a comfortable king. However you’re going to have to go out and find somewhere to have dinner. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment.
