There are pubs and restaurants and a supermarket within a few minutes walk, along a promenade. The house itself like the setting is totally unique, it has kept its old world charm but with modern conveniences discreetly included. This period house has an interesting history mirroring the history of Ireland from the landlord era to the present day.
the rooms are all large with the drawing room and dining room featuring some wonderful antique furniture and large bay windows with lake views The bedrooms have their own private bathroom. The kitchen is modernly equipped with the addition of an AGA stove which will be the one piece of equipment you will long to take home with you. The kitchen larder which s an old confession box adds to the charm. There is a laundry room with large washer and large dryer in the house.
the grounds are large with huge lawns and mature gardens with some very interesting features, including a pond and it's natural water fountain The entrance to the National Park is just across the street, which allows your group to pursue different interests, maybe it’s a jog or a romantic lakeside stroll or visiting an old abbey, its all there on your doorstep.
