Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This was a last minute change in our itinerary because we were missing the ryokan life. I’m very glad we found this place. The hotel was modern and classy, while also friendly and traditional. The room was comfortable and the baths were very nice. The staff was excellent and took great care of us. The best part was the dinner. I have to say it was one of the best keiseki meals of all three of my trips to Japan combined. Everything about it was top notch and we were very impressed. We used this location as a jumping off point between the Kyoto area and Fuji, and it worked very well.

Summary: The perfect stop over when you’re yearning for all the best parts of an onsen ryokan.
