Positive: We stayed at House Between Pines from December 26th to January 2nd (2024–2025), and it was a truly wonderful experience. The home is stunning, both inside and out, with underfloor heating that kept it incredibly warm and cozy. The sauna was easy to use, and the utility room was perfect for washing and drying our gear. We were a group of eight (two families of four), and the layout of the house suited us perfectly. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of storage for all our belongings. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped, with everything we needed to cook every evening. We even enjoyed one memorable dinner outside around the fire pit. The host thoughtfully provided cupboard essentials like cooking oil, herbs, and spices, which was a great touch. The only minor improvement could be the addition of more oven trays, but it didn’t hinder us. The host was fantastic, regularly updating us about northern lights sightings and even helping us secure a husky ride after ours was canceled. When we had a small issue with the dishwasher (our fault), he quickly resolved it and regularly maintained the outdoor area. His local tips, including using the Wolt app for groceries, local events, and taxi services, were incredibly helpful. The outdoor space was a highlight of our stay. The kids loved playing on sledges in the snow while we enjoyed evening fires. We were lucky enough to catch breathtaking views of the northern lights. The smart TV, toys, books, and even a climbing wall kept the children entertained indoors. The location was ideal for us. It’s a peaceful, remote area, yet only a 2km walk to Santa Village, where we spotted reindeer and snow bunnies along the way. Many of the activities we booked provided transport from Santa Village, making it very convenient. For the few times we needed a taxi, it was just a 10-minute ride to the city center. Overall, we couldn’t recommend House Between Pines more highly.
