Welcome to the countryside, where you can hear the birds singing and see the cows grazing, and to this charming red house with white knots. Next to the house are green meadows with an old charm. The house has everything you could need for a nice and peaceful holiday not far from the beautiful lake Vänern.With only 10 minutes from the cottage, you can swim in Lake Vänern and pay a visit to the Göta Canal. This place, called Sjötorp, is highly visited every summer by tens of thousands of tourists who come to experience the special atmosphere around the shipyard, the canal with the locks, the boating life in the guest harbor and the sunset over Lake Vänern.The house is idyllically located with a small pond in the garden and has a nice mixed decor. You are welcomed in on the back of the house into a small hallway. Directly to the right is the shower and laundry room and next to a small storage room. Straight ahead, you will find the bathroom with a toilet and sink. To the left you enter a large bright kitchen with a wood stove. Straight ahead is a bedroom with a double bed of 180cm. To the right is the living room with a lovely fireplace. From the kitchen, there are stairs up to a large loft. There are four single beds standing with one in each end. The small cottage on the same plot is sometimes used by the owners.Here next to the shores of Lake Vänern there is the opportunity for sunbathing and swimming in many nice public bathing places. In the lake town of Mariestad, 12 km, there are beautiful streets with cobblestones and well-preserved 17th century houses. Göta Canal starts in Sjötorp, right next to your accommodation. Take the opportunity to rent a bike and take a ride along the beautiful canal. In the countryside around the city, there are several cultural treasures worth a visit and in the center of the city is the Old Town, one of the country's best-preserved city centers. 50 km to Skara Sommarland Water Park, with a variety of attractions that is always appreciated by children. For those interested in golf, Mariestads GK's golf course is only a few kilometers from the cottage.
