Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Quiet place in the center of Valence, close to shops and restaurants. Good bed, plenty storage space. Low cost. Part of a building with many (5?) such small apartments, each with their own key box.

Negative: Many details could be much better. The water cooker had obviously not been cleaned for ages, full of chalk sediment. The ventilation grid of the bathroom was rather dirty, one should pass the hoover there every once in a while. The TV set was damaged, still in working condition but not good-looking. Airco had been leaking and the corresponding damage not cleaned or re-painted. Cutlery and glasses had not been properly cleaned. All taps (bathroom 2x, kitchen) had warm and cold sides exchanged. Especially in a shower, that creates a risk for buns. With a little more attention to detail, this place could get a much higher rating.

Summary: Ok for a short stay in Valence.
