Positive: The host was very friendly and accommodating and had the fridge stocked with water and juice. There was coffee and tea readily available. The apartment was very clean and the pool was perfect for a dip in the heat. Location-wise it's close to the airport and other amenities in Velika Gorica. The host posted a lot of info regarding taxis to the airport as well which could be helpful to those who needed it. They really have everything you need in the apartment.
Negative: Although out of their control, there were some electrical issues on the first night that we were there, but were remedied by the afternoon on our second day. The host was great and moved us to another unit becauee of this. The decor is a little dated, but it has it's own charm, and we were really only sleeping there so it didn't bother us. If you are someone who wants ultra modern, this isn't the place for you. There was an ac unit in the main family room, but none in the bedrooms, so we slept with the doors open and found a fan to help circulate the air. This was a little tougher because we had an infant with us. There weren't mesh screens on the windows in the bedrooms, so we kept them closed so bugs wouldn't come in. If there were mesh screens we could have opened them while we slept and had nice fresh air.
