Positive: The property was perched high on a hill overlooking the city of Papeete and the harbor. It was modern and well equipped. The owners could not have been more accommodating. We got lost at night in the hills when we arrived and they came and rescued us. It was late at night, but they were very very nice about it. Carine left a bunch of helpful guide books and lists of sites and restaurants. This was in English and French--very useful. We had forgotten our adaptor, but found one in the nightstand. Saved again! The pool was very pleasant. We felt very safe within the gated community. Actually, we felt safe the entire time in Tahiti. Having a parking spot within the complex was very nice. The elevator up to the unit was conveniently located near the spot. Getting luggage and groceries to the unit was a breeze.
Negative: Do not trust Google maps to get you to the location. Follow Carine's instructions. Try not to navigate there at night upon arrival. The roundabouts are confusing if you are not familiar with them. The bedrooms are air conditioned, but the main living area and kitchen are not. We were there when it was pretty hot, so we had to adapt some. The second bedroom had an ensuite bath, but the toilet was out in the common area. The sofa was very low laying for this overweight American. Our fit friends had no problem with the sofa. We just pulled in some chairs from the patio and all was good. The pool is a bit of an uphill hike from the unit. Again, our fit friends thought nothing about it.
