Positive: This one is long overdue, but the time has come. I made my decision to book a tour with Mhamid Tours based on a singular review among the masses, a Danish guy who had a lot of nice things to say. I had a lot of time to prepare, and the guides were welcoming even before meeting me. Talking on the phone to answer questions was never an issue, and every concern I had was met with understanding and reassurance. An unexpected and unfortunate circumstance led to another guide showing me around the desert, a total of 5 days. Mbark was welcoming from our first meeting and radiated positive energy throughout our entire trip . He showed me how nomads navigate using the stars, how dromedaries get water during the warmer months, and how local nomadic families live and get by in 2025. An unforgettable experience few people will have in their lifetimes. My greatest surprise was the excitement of every person we met. It seemed to me that any and every person in the sahara is first and foremost excited to show you their lifestyle, and their generosity is unmatched. My favorite memory of my trip to morocco will be my night with a nomadic family, eating local dates and goat(?) cheese, and waking up in the middle of the night to an unfiltered view of the milky way for the first time. Mhamid tours will make any and every adjustment necessary so you, the customer will have an unforgettable experience. You can not go wrong with Mhamid tours. As a word of caution. An unfortunate yet common occurrence is that numerous guide on the way down to Mhamid, in the larger cities, will try to persuade you to book with them. I heard several lies and hyperboles on my city to city trip to Mhamid, telling me that the guides in Mhamid are a danger to tourists.. This is a complete lie, and i would trust any person in Mhamid ahead of everyone else in morocco when it comes to the desert lifestyle and safety. Common sense would dictate that those born in the desert know how to survive the desert.
Negative: I suppose the only negative thing was up to chance anyways, but i did not get to see any ostrich during my travels in the desert, but obviously this is not the fault of Mhamid tours or Mbark. Nothing negative.
