From the waterfalls, you can turn left and you can take a lovely stroll along the river to the ruins of Easby Abbey, which was founded in 1152 and was a subject of the British artist JMW Turner. Turning right, you will soon reach the National Trusts Hudswell Woods. Another treat on this path is an award-winning pub, the George and Dragon with one of the most beautiful beer gardens in the country.
