Positive: This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The owners greeted us like old friends and looked after our every need. Everything was spotlessly clean with beautiful outside areas for us to relax or eat with plenty of shade. The pool was huge with seating areas and a hammock where we could sit with views of gorgeous house and the extensive countryside all around. The breakfast was all completely homemade (even the bread each morning!) and delicious. The area is peaceful and remote but yet only 5 minutes by car to the nearest river spot. We travelled from the UK with our 2 sons (aged 18 years and 15 years) and they loved it as much as us. This was our first time to Portugal and we took a punt with travelling inland to river spots rather than sticking with the coast. I am so glad we did and we will definitely return.

Negative: That we didn't stay longer!

Summary: Fabulous owners, spotlessly clean, stunning countryside, close to rivers - just perfect!
