Summary: Mohammed was an excellent host who did his uppermost to assist us during our stay. Staff were polite and hospitable but English was a barrier. Thankfully google translate was a huge helping aid in assisting basic requests. I highly appreciated the staff going out of their way to accommodate us for an early check in. The room was an excellent size and well situated, however we did experience the following issues: - insufficient and inconsistent housekeeping (total cleaning for a 7 night stay = x2, and once was on our request). - loud neighbours from other rooms talking till 2am/3am. - Water only provided when cleaning occurred. - TV didn’t work. - No hangers in the wardrobe. - super economy loo roll that ran out very quickly and wasn’t replaced. - Tea and coffee only replenished when cleaning occurred. I think many of these issues connected to language barriers and irregular housekeeping. Overall I would score Rooms Galata a 4/5 for friendly staff and location - and despite some of the challenges mentioned, I would stay again for these reasons.
