Positive: Some places are beautiful. Others make you feel like you belong. Sananda Aryani gave us both. We came for four nights of relaxation and left feeling like we’d found family and a definite place to return too. The villas are large, private and peaceful, beautifully designed and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Mornings by the pool and massages in the beautiful outdoor spa, with nothing but birdsong and the scent of frangipani, made it almost impossible to think about the outside world. It was easy to chill out and watch TV after a refreshing swim or sit outside in the pagoda to read along with a refreshing margarita. But what truly makes this place unforgettable are the people. Dewi cared for us with such warmth and kindness that we quickly felt part of her family too. Alberto and Ria have created something very special here. They welcomed us not as guests, but as friends and that feeling stayed with us throughout our entire stay. One of our favourite memories was being taken to the local market to buy fresh ingredients to cook together. It wasn’t just a holiday…it was a chance to experience a little of the real Lovina through generous and genuine people. Dewi is happy to make a yummy breakfast each morning with nice Bali coffee, a snack during the day is no problem and even dinner. So there’s really no need to go anywhere. Grab can also deliver any basics should they be required. We arrived hoping to relax. We left rested, grateful and already planning our return. Next time we’ll spend a little more time exploring Lovina and its beautiful surrounds…although it will be hard to leave the serenity of Sananda Aryani. Thank you, Dewi, Alberto, Ria and everyone who made us feel so at home. We won’t soon forget you. And thank you Bagus for the tail wags. Update: there is AC and TVs in the rooms too. Pool towels, tea, coffee and everything you may need. The linens and towels are luxurious…the pillows are the best I’ve ever slept on!
