Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This is an old hunting lodge found alongside the shoreline, it’s a lovely building with great staff and the food, although very expensive, was excellent quality and delicious. The lounges provided an area to meet others and we had some great conversations with fellow travellers. The hotel has a relaxed country house feel to it.

Negative: The property is well presented but a little tired. We spent the night in their smallest double room and although comfortable and clean the bathroom especially needed some TLC (leaky toilet). We did have a good stay but felt that the evening meal was expensive with few options.

Summary: A hotel with so much potential.
