Located on a quiet, meandering, dead-end country road bordering National Park land (yet a short 10 minutes from idyllic Main Street), the 1.5 acre property boasts direct access to over 100,000 acres of high desert and red canyon beauty. Originally built in the 1930’s as the historic Redlands Trap and Skeet Club, the Cabin was completely renovated in 2015 and appointed with high quality at every turn.

Guests have front door access to the majestic Liberty Cap, Corkscrew and Ute Canyon trails in the lower Colorado National Monument, as well as the farthest reaches of the Monument and adjacent McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area. Enjoy Tiara Rado or Redland’s Mesa golf courses, just a stone’s throw in either direction. Venture 10-15 miles beyond and explore the farms, orchards and wineries of Palisade (east) or abundant mountain biking trails and rafting in Fruita (west). Downhill ski for the day at the world class Powderhorn Mountain Resort, only 50 minutes away, where you’ll typically find fresh powder and short lift lines. Stay longer and broaden your discoveries by taking day-trips to the Glenwood or Ouray Hot Springs, Grand Mesa (the largest flat top mountain in the world with over 100 lakes), Arches, Canyonlands or Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Parks or the historic Colorado mining towns of Aspen, Telluride and Silverton.

The Cabin offers a private bedroom with a queen-sized bed and sliding doors that lead to a deck ideal for enjoying the morning sun. The main living area boasts a comfy sofa, where a gas fireplace awaits the flip of its switch. The bathroom is configured with two separate sink/vanity areas beyond a large private showering area, so that two guests can utilize the amenities simultaneously. The modern kitchen has a gas stove, full dishwasher and lots of counter space. Just beyond, a dining area soaks in the afternoon sun at the front of the house, where views of the Monument loom outside every window.

Very few places in the world offer access to the kind of diverse scenery and terrain offered here in Grand Junction. From the spectacular red canyons of the Colorado Plateau to the west, to the alpine beauty of the San Juan mountain range to the south, to the expansive sunsets that light up the Bookcliffs to the north - beauty and adventure abound in every direction!
