Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The surrounding area was lovely and the local pub was very welcoming and friendly with good food. We were able to bring our dog which is always a bonus. The grounds of the property were lovely with charming holiday homes nearby.
Negative: We were a little deceived by the photos of the property before arriving and the reviews we had read. There was nothing for the dog- no bowl or blanket provided. The sofa was facing the wrong way for the TV. It was not the place you could relax and unwind in. Other guests spoke of a welcoming gift of milk and bread. There was nothing at all in The Tack Room. We had no hairdryer, which is normally standard in any accommodation. It was not a welcoming place at all. £20 for a dog that you wouldn’t even know had been there.
Summary: Delightful grounds with a fab local pub that is dog friendly. Do not be deceived by the photographs.
