Positive: The Vine is in a perfect location for seeing Funchal and with free car parking in an underground car park, made hiring a car at the airport easy - 25 min drive to the hotel. From there, access to the whole island was straightforward. On the first night we discovered a problem with the bath plumbing which was repaired and sorted within 15 minutes of us contacting reception - impressive. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

Summary: Excellent location, friendly staff, free car park and great breakfast.
