Enjoy preparing family meals in the fully stocked kitchen or grilling on the 6-burner Weber grill. Plenty of seating is available for everyone to gather for meals. Relax in the screen porch located off the dining room - the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening wildlife watching, including visits from the neighborhood heron.

The boathouse features a large shaded area with table/seating, a bar with mini-fridge and stools, 4 kayaks, and plenty of room for enjoying the water which is 7-8 ft deep at the end of the dock. The boathouse has rope lighting that makes for a great spot to relax after the sun goes down. The boathouse has 5 bumper posts and 2 mooring cleats on each side for securing boats. While the house is located in NC, the VA border is within sight. There are several natural areas up Poplar Creek within a short kayak trip, including an island, making for fun areas to explore on a kayak trip from NC to VA and back.
