VILLA SERENA | Apartment in Amalfi

Villa Serena is a charming home with 3 bedrooms and a fantastic Amalfi sea view.

She was built on a rocky spur overlooking the sea, which seems to "sustain" the central and most picturesque part of Amalfi's west side. The property has 26 steps from the main road to the main entrance. It is located about 3 KM from the main square in Amalfi on the road of Positano, where you can find the most beautiful and suggestive beaches on the Amalfi coast. Villa Serena is the same place as the famous Sofia Loren's Villa.

It sleeps up to four maximum of five people comfortably (two king-size beds and two twin beds). Villa Serena is 160 square meters (1.722 square feet), including two private terraces where you will enjoy a gorgeous sea view. It features a large kitchen room with a fantastic sea view through the big windows, air conditioning, WI-FI throughout the property, internet access and a laundry area. Please note that a Mobile server Company router provides the Internet service. Its limited Broadband ( usually 7GB monthly ) is adequate for browsing websites ( shopping online, online banking, and social networks ) and checking emails. However, it is unsuitable for downloading movies, games, or songs or watching video streaming.

The owner finished doing it this June 2018 and has elegantly decorated the apartment with the colours of the sea and sky.

Villa Serena consists of the following:
Living area furnishings include a queen-size sofa pull-out, one big flat-screen TV, an eight-person dining table, a large window that opens to a big balcony, an air conditioning/heating unit and 4G WI-FI. Please note that WI-FI speed on the Amalfi Coast is limited; browsing websites ( shopping online, online banking, social networks ) and checking e-mails can be adequate. It is unsuitable for downloading movies, games, songs or streaming videos.

The "eat-in style kitchen" kitchen has a four-burner gas stove, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, cookware, dishes and glassware. In addition, the kitchen has large windows on two walls, through which you can see the sky and the fantastic sea of the Amalfi coast while cooking!

A sleeping area with three bedrooms communicates with a big balcony through which you can see the charming view. The first bedroom is large and is furnished with a King size bed with an extensive wardrobe and one desk and chair.

The main bedroom is enormous and has a king-size bed, a wardrobe, one desk and chair and a personal bathroom with a Jacuzzi shower. Both bedrooms have air conditioning/heating units.

The third bedroom has two single beds, a wardrobe room and an air conditioning/heating unit.

Two bathrooms full bathroom with shower (no tub), sink, toilet and bidet, and the main bedroom bathroom is equipped with a Jacuzzi shower where you can see the sea during the day and the stars at night through the window in front of the shower.

The terrace is 90 square meters (968 square feet) and large. A big umbrella partly shades it. It has a table, chairs and sun loungers so you can use the terrace like a solarium during the day and for romantic dinner at night. In addition, you will enjoy a fantastic view of the Amalfi Sea from the terrace.

Services included in the home: 4G WI-FI connection, satellite television, cleaning upon departure, electricity, linens and towels.

You can order any groceries you need via email with 24 hours notice, hours we will deliver them to your property.

FINAL CLEANING FEES
Upon arrival, you must pay Euro 190 for the final cleaning fees.

TOURIST TAX
Upon arrival, you will be asked to pay the tourist tax of 3 Euros per person daily in cash.

PROOF OF ID
Italy has security standards that require every Host to record their guests' information: Italian law (named "DM Interno 07/01/2013")and communicate it to the Police Headquarters through the accommodations portal when they check in, without exception. For this reason, upon checking in, you must show a valid ID such as a driving license or passport to collect the Guest's Full name, date and place of birth, nationality, passport or ID number and date of issue.

LUGGAGE DROP
Although we always strive to accommodate our client's requests, you booked a self-catering accommodation. Unfortunately, we do not have allocated staff or dedicated space for luggage drop before the check-in time from 15:00. We cannot drop anything at the property before the check-in because the cleaning team is busy cleaning and sanitising the property for your arrival.

LATE ARRIVAL FEE
If you arrive after 8:00 PM, you will be charged € 50 for the "Late Arrival Fee," which will be paid in cash upon check-in. If you choose your transportation, please get in touch with our Local Representant; however, the agent will not be waiting longer than 23:00. After 23:00, I am afraid nobody will be staying at the property; you will need to organise your accommodation for the night and check in the following day.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
We require a security deposit on check-in; this can be paid in cash, debit, or credit cards. The amount is € 600.

If you use a credit or debit card to check in, we will place a hold, pre-authorisation, of funds during your stay. The hold amount will be the above security deposit only. A pre-authorisation is not a charge. Your bank/credit card company temporarily holds the pre-authorised amount from your account's available balance.

Please note that the property key is a security code encrypted key. Unlike the classic keys, this variant guarantees greater security by limiting duplication through a patented security system. This means that the lock cylinder needs to be changed in case of loss or damage. Therefore in case of loss or damage, you will be deducted €100 from your security deposit.

We will typically release the hold on any unused funds within 14 working days of check-out or less, depending on your financial institution, providing that no damage has been caused to the property.

If the security deposit is paid in cash, it will be returned upon checking out, providing that no damage has been found in the property.

CAR PARK
For our customers, we have a private garage with 24-hour video surveillance with car collection and delivery service included at € 25.00 per day per car; €35.00 if it is an SUV. The Car Park fees can be paid at check-in in cash.

The same happens on your return; the Local Representant, who will take care of your assistance from check-in to check-out, will pick up the car from Villa Serena and bring it back to the Garage. This service needs to be booked at least one week in advance and is subject to availability.

Alternatively, you can park the car on the road outside Villa Serena for free, provided you will find a space because it is only sometimes permitted to park. In this case, we are not responsible for damage or car park fines.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS FOR EXTRAS
Please note that for all the required payments for any extra service or extra fee you wish to pay with a credit card, an international fee exchange of 10% will be added, and payment will be taken with the equivalent amount in USD based on the exchange rate of the day of the payment.

LOCAL AGENT
Once in Italy, if you should need to, you can contact our local English-speaking representative, who is available during office hours for the whole duration of your holiday. One week before your arrival, you will be given the mobile number of the local agent, who can be contacted via text, SMS or phone.

Please note that this property is based on a self-catering contract; you get only the property and the listed amenities; anything else, such as information, bus timetables, transfers etc is not mandatory. We try to be friendly and accommodate any request, but once in the property is entirely up to the client to buy what is necessary for the holiday and to organize your day-to-day needs.

In the event of issues with the property, such as Wi-Fi interruption, a faulty washing machine or anything else that require maintenance, we are not bound to provide a repair within 24 hours but within the necessary and fair time, considering the local availability of maintenance services which are not under our management. We are not a hotel or a B&B with 24/7 maintenance staff available..
