Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The hotel is in a beautiful location, having great views of the sea, the marina, will be great to sit outside at warm summer nights, enjoying the view. The hotel is perhaps outdated in style, but at the same time it is style you won't find anywhere (except perhaps in the Caribbean).

Negative: Bar and restaurant were closed and the road to the hotel is a disaster for your car. I understand that is beyond the control of the hotel, but the amount of houses / villas on this road should make it possible for the owners to force the village council to take action. The road is a total disgrace. Once on the premises of the hotel the road is in good condition.

Summary: Great hotel for a short trip. Porto Ercole is however not for an extended holiday.
