the island of de kaag (reachable by ferry) is an ideal place to unwind The surrounding area is great for cycling, including a beautiful 17 km route exploring the area via various ferries. The Kagerplassen is the oldest water sports area in the Netherlands and offers plenty of activities. Moreover, the Kaag is a very short distance from Keukenhof and cities such as Amsterdam, The Hague and Leiden can be reached very quickly.
