You will be staying at a nice isolated house in the countryside, near the small town of Grândola, perfect for you to have a tranquil vacation with your family and friends. - 3 en-suite bedrooms- Large attic with lots of beds ideal for children or a large group of friends- Big fully equipped kitchen with dining area- Outside porch dining area- Barbecue- Spacious living room with plenty of seating, TV and dining area- Nice swimming pool with a country view- Bed linen, towels and pool towels are provided- Air conditioning in all the house- Large parking area
WHAT IS INCLUDED- Clean towels, linens, sheets and pool towels are provided. There is no daily cleaning service or replacement of towels. You can ask for any number of house cleanings and towel / linen replacement for an extra fee.- This is a self-catering rental. This means that we will leave you a starting amount of certain items like toilet paper or detergent but when it runs out you should get more yourself. CELL PHONE AND INTERNET SERVICE- Cell phone signal is weak. Calls can be difficult to hear or even disconnect.- Internet comes from mobile cell service. Expect sometimes slow speeds or even disconnects. You can move the wi-fi router around the house to try and get a stronger signal, sometimes it helps.POWER- If you turn on many heaters at max power or other high power electrical equipment at the same time (like washing machine, hair dryer, toaster, water boiler, etc.) the safety electrical switches can go off. This is normal and all you have to do is go to the switch box and turn back on all the switches. BUGS, ANIMALS, SUN - COUNTRY LIFE!- City folk, prepare for the country! - Remember this is the countryside. Expect to find small animals and insects like ants, bees, mice, lizards, etc. Other larger animals that are possible to see sometimes are fox, boar, sheep, ... :)- Bring sun cream, hats and insect repellent for your skin- The nearest town is 12 km away, you will need a car.CHECK-IN - Check-in time is from 4 PM to 8 PM. However we are flexible and will try to accommodate your arrival time. If possible we will meet you earlier so you can drop off your luggage and get the keys. In this case please note that the house may not be clean and ready until mid-afternoon and you should not stay in the property while it's being cleaned. - We are flexible regarding your arrival time to the house, but it also depends on the schedule of the local lady who will welcome you there. Please understand that it may not be possible at all hours. - We really need to know your arrival in advance! Remember this is an isolated house in the countryside and the person who meets you is going there on purpose. :)- The only way to be sure and have the house ready on an early morning arrival is to book the previous night. - It is usually not possible to do a check-in after 8 PM. If you arrive later than that, please check with us in advance. For a late check-in after 8 PM there is a late check-in fee of 20€ to pay in cash in person.CHECK-OUT- You should have everything packed and be ready to leave the house at 11 AM. - You can't stay after 11 AM, but sometimes it may be possible to leave your luggage in the house until later. Please cheack in advanceLATE CHECK-OUT - Sometimes it may be possible to have a late check-out until 7 PM, so you can enjoy the house all day. Usually it won't be possible on fridays and during high season.- Late check-out must be arranged in advance of your stay, so we can block the calendar and be sure to not have new guests arriving on that day.- Late check-out fee is 50% of the normal daily rate for the check-out date. ACCESSIBILITY- The attic bedroom is accessible only by a narrow spiral staircase. Therefore, this part of the house is not suitable for guests with mobility problems.- The gate to the grounds has to be opened and closed manuallyOWNER ACCESS- Every few days the gardener will go there (unnanounced) to clean the pool and tend the grounds.- On other occasions, authorized persons may need to access the property for maintenance services or other necessary tasks (owner, cleaners, repairmen, etc.). We will try to avoid this and to warn you in advance.STAY AT A LEGAL HOUSEThank you for contributing to the legal economy in Portugal.
