Within a 5-minute drive is Talkin Tarn, a natural beauty spot with tarn, woodland trail, café and rowing boats to hire, you can also try your hand at some watersports including canoeing and paddle boarding. Historians will delight at the closeness of Hadrian's Wall, a short drive, and many people walking the wall stop off at Brampton for refreshments before returning to follow in the footsteps of a bygone era.
