Positive: The positives first: The villa itself is lovely, with a calm, “namaste” vibe and a beautiful garden. The sunsets are amazing. The location worked well for us, about 30 minutes drive to Nosara and 15 minutes drive to San Juanillo Beach. The gated community felt private and safe, and the local property manager was helpful and responsive.

Negative: Where things fell short for us: The main issue was bed size discrepancies between the listing and the actual setup. The listing indicated four bedrooms with: 1 king, 2 queen beds and 2 twins In reality, the setup was: Bedroom 1 (master, main house): 1 king Bedroom 2 (main house): full bed Bedroom 3 (separate building near pool): full bed Bedroom 4 (main house): daybed with a pullout that converts to a double If bed size doesn’t matter much to you, this may not be an issue. However, for our group, bed size directly affects comfort and sleep quality, so this was an unpleasant surprise. Had we known two of the beds were full-size, we would not have chosen this property. We politely asked for a discount but were politely declined, as the owner felt the listing was accurate. As of now, the description still lists two queen beds, which may continue to cause confusion for future guests. Another thing to note: one bedroom (the one with the daybed) does not have AC, only a ceiling fan. We had to keep the door open to let cool air in from the living area. For larger groups, the common areas are limited. We were 7 people (2 couples, 1 senior, and 2 teenagers), and there wasn’t a comfortable space for everyone to sit together outside of the dining table with benches. The living room seating wasn’t sufficient for our group, the small patio near one bedroom only has a small table that seats four people and has one hammock, and most importantly the pool area has only three sunbeds with no additional seating, tables, or surfaces to place belongings. There is also no outdoor grill. The pool water was cloudy throughout our 5 night stay. We were told it was due to leaves falling in from the wind. While some cleaning was done, leaves remained at the bottom and the water never fully cleared. Pool maintenance was not available until 3pm on our last full day, and even the following morning when we were leaving the water was still cloudy.

Summary: We had a mixed experience at this property.
