this raised 1930s carriage house is absolutely adorable and the perfect cozy getaway for a couple or a private escape for one looking to work, read/write, or surf! with relaxing ocean views and the beach access just 25 yards away (less than a block) – this 1 bedroom house has a queen bed, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and a porch perch to provide all the comforts of home you'll spend your afternoons in the sand and surf, with a heated rinse off in your own private outdoor shower!

During your stay, take advantage of the many outdoor activities & lessons offered on the island, including fishing, surfing, biking, kayaking, boating, and much more. A 12-mile/15 min drive will take you to historic downtown Charleston, where you can enjoy all that the Holy City has to offer.

Summary: House is small but nice. Close to the ocean and an overall good stay. Only complaint with the house itself was that the carpet is very hard and uncomfortable to walk on. As for the booking, I ended up paying an extra 82% over the posted price in random fees and taxes. I feel this is predatory and dishonest. I might consider staying in the house again but definitely not at the final rate that I payed after the made up fees and taxes.
