Positive: I had such a genuinely wonderful stay at GateTrees Resort, and I honestly left feeling like I was leaving home rather than a hotel. A very special mention to Edman Suganthini — her kindness, warmth, and personalised care made the entire experience unforgettable. She constantly checked in on our well-being and made sure we were comfortable throughout the stay. It never felt transactional; it truly felt like we were being taken care of by family. The rooms are incredibly spacious, clean, and peaceful, and the mattress was honestly one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on in a long time. After long days travelling around Jaffna, coming back to the room felt so relaxing. And the food… absolutely amazing, amazing, amazing. The local dishes prepared by the cook were exceptional and full of authentic flavour. You can really taste the love and care in the cooking. Most importantly — please do not skip the breakfast here. Even after my trip, I’m still craving the exact same dosa, pittu, fresh fruit platter, and coffee. Everything was so fresh, comforting, and incredibly delicious. Thank you again to the entire team at GateTrees Resort for such a heartfelt experience. I will definitely return whenever I’m back in Jaffna.
