quiet hours: quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week, noise carries easier and further in higher elevations and over water Per the ordinance: No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.
lights out: all exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.

many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in tahoe/truckee and may be icy in the winter To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle.
