Located down a private lane of seldom-used, vintage Maine camps, our cottage sits just steps from serene Sand Pond, with a private dock and lake frontage. The camp has been completely updated with new windows, new appliances, new linens, and fresh paint. The open layout includes a large kitchen, dining area, plenty of lounging space, two bedrooms and one full bath with an efficiency washer and dryer. Enjoy the wide lake views, water-side deck, picnic table, gas grill, dock, canoe and kayak! Guests will have access to a newly-built shed with oars and life vests (child and adult sizes), as well as high-speed internet. Sand Pond encompasses 61 acres, where the loons and turtles are more common than motor boats, and the sandy bottom makes for great swimming. The village of Cornish lies a short drive west, with antique shops, popular restaurants, and supermarket; to the east lies Sebago Lake and its popular summertime attractions. Excursions of an hour or less lead to Portland's Old Port, hiking trails in the White Mountains, or outlet shopping in North Conway, NH.
