it is an easy 15-hour drive from Liberia Airport and 3 hours from San Jose. If you arrive in San Jose with less than 3 hours of daylight, we recommend staying near the airport and getting a fresh start in the morning. Most roads are paved but not well-marked, with many twists and turns.
