the driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 6 inches They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).
the easiest way to enter the house is through the lower entrance under the deck (as it is covered by the deck above) There are steps that lead up from the parking area to the upper entry door. During winter months, the upper entry door, stairs and deck maybe covered with snow that’s accumulated . We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), there maybe snow snow that needs shoveling. There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we recommend that you travel with a shovel during winter conditions.
winter advisory: by reserving this house during the winter months (november - april), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.
all seasons advisory: by reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that lake tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, there’s always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home..
