This holiday home is in the centre of the rural village of Cowbeech and is one end of the main house, which used to be the Village Post Office and Stores. The annexe is light and spacious - with bedroom (5' bed), shower room, sitting room (with wood burner), kitchen, conservatory & second WC. The décor is traditional. There is direct access to its own garden at the front and rear, with seating. There are suntrap spots, even in the Winter. Broadband connection and a BT landline are included. The village pub (the Merrie Harriers) is a five minute walk. Dogs welcome so long as they are safe with the odd free range chicken. Cowbeech and surrounding area is great for dog-walking and there are a lot of lovely circular walks, which can encompass a good pub. It is also a good area to visit gardens connected with the Open Gardens Scheme. Herstmonceux Castle (England's first brick-built castle) is a ten-minute drive away and again offers walks and gardens. The quiet beaches of Normans Bay and Pevensey are a 20-minute drive away and offer long stretches of sand to walk along when the tide is low and safe swimming. Hastings, Eastbourne and Brighton are within easy reach via road or rail. The nearest train stations are Polegate (15mins) and Stonegate (20mins), which provide direct lines to London (approx. 1hr 15mins).
