Summary: We travel extensively, and have rented dozens f apartments over many years in europe and US'.This apartment is probably the best, per dollar rent of any of them! It has a spacious balcony with fantastic views of the ocean, the beach below, and all the sailing boats anchored offshore in the Bay. It is spacious, spotless, , decorated with taste, and has been well equipped with all one needs by Jean, the very helpful landlord. It was like living in someone's home, which it is for Jean and his wife, who are here for the winter season. Jean was also kind to arrange an airport taxi person to pick us up at the airport and return us there. I think that is best, and we did not rent a car, but there is a Budget lot one block away if you do. The Creole Village shopping area is within walking distance with a bakery and many decent restaurants. A tiny but charming small grocery, for locals mostly, is within a reasonable walking distance. , near the lovely beach, which also has restaurants and a bar,which opens at 5, perfect for a drink while watching the sunset. There is another beach in the other direction which has 3 chiming lagoons, and is less touristy. Our favorite restaurant was Le Pause, which had great service and food, but Bistrot d' en Face, also in Creole village, had very good French food. Le Marine on the harbor was also good, especially for the service. Finally, make sure you bring an umbrella for the passing showers, and also for the very hot sun! Bill and Julie
