Positive: We had a wonderful stay at the Captain's Boathouse. The apartment was tastefully decorated and the hosts had kindly put up a Christmas tree and decorations which made it feel perfect! All of the family loved staying there especially our 21month old little Grandson who felt at home and loved exploring around! The view from the lounge was very relaxing looking across the stretch of water with many birds coming and going. The view from the kitchen was also entertaining as it overlooked a small pool in the Dolphinarium so breakfast time would be spent spotting dolphins! We made lots of beautiful memories in Harderwijk and so glad we chose it as our place to stay for our short two night stay. Wish we could have stayed there longer but hope to return in the future. I think that staying in the Captain's Boathouse in the Summertime would be even more special.
Negative: My son and Daughter-in-law thought the steam room was really good and actually preferred it to a sauna. It would have been even better if they had been able to play their music but was unable to get it to play through Bluetooth. It could be a simple explanation why it was not working. An instructions manual was left in the apartment which was really useful helping us to control/use the various electronic equipment but couldn't find anything to help with playing music in the steam room.
